A MITIE partnership with Essex County Council

Essex County Council has announced that MITIE Group PLC has been selected as the preferred partner for delivering a transformational contract which includes facilities and property management as well as energy services.

Currently, details of the contract are being finalised and both sides will be in a position to sign a contract in the coming weeks.   An announcement will be made shortly with full details.

Councillor Louis, Cabinet Member for Essex County Council, commented "This new partnership will result in a better quality service and will achieve annual savings of £3.1m a year. I look forward to announcing full details of this new partnership shortly".

Ruby McGregor-Smith, Chief Executive of MITIE, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for MITIE to deliver a transformational outsourcing offering for Essex County Council and we are looking forward to developing our relationship with them."
