Mitie Group plc (the "Company") - Baroness Philippa Couttie
It is with great sadness that Mitie Group plc announces that Baroness Philippa Couttie, Non-Executive Director of Mitie, passed away on 12 December 2022. The Group's thoughts and condolences are with Philippa's husband Stephen and her family at this sad time.
Philippa joined the Board of Mitie Group in November 2017 as a Non-Executive Director of the Company and served on the Audit and Nominations Committee. She was instrumental in the development of Mitie's ESG agenda, both establishing and leading the company's Social Value committee. Philippa was also a Trustee and Chair of The Mitie Foundation.
Derek Mapp, Chairman of Mitie, said:
"Philippa made an enormous contribution to the Board with her enthusiasm and expertise and will be remembered for helping to establish Mitie as the ESG leader in the FM industry. She will be greatly missed by us all and her family is in our thoughts."
