Appointment of an Interim Executive Director
M J Gleeson Group plc announces the appointment, with effect from 21 August
2006, of Edwin John Lawrie, currently Company Secretary, as an Interim Executive
Director of the Company. He will remain as Company Secretary. It is the
intention that further announcements on Board appointments will be made in due
course.
Mr Lawrie, ACII, FIRM, ACIS, 45, joined the Company in 1999 as Company Secretary
having been previously Assistant Group Secretary of Higgs & Hill plc and
latterly HGB Construction Limited, following its acquisition of the construction
activities of Higgs & Hill.
At the date of his appointment, Mr Lawrie's interests in ordinary shares and
options over ordinary shares in the Company were as follows:
Ordinary Shares: 19,205
Share Options: 128,892
There are no further disclosures that are required to be made pursuant to LR
9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
Notes for Editors:
Since 24 July 2006, Paul Wallwork, Interim Chief Executive, has been the
Company's only Executive Director.
