                                  Board Changes

M J Gleeson Group plc, the Homes, Property and Construction company, announces
that, after 28 years' service, including 15 years as Finance Director, Colin
McLellan has indicated that he intends to retire from the Board following the
Annual General Meeting on 11th January 2006, by which time he will be 62. The
Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Colin for his considerable
contribution and to wish him well in his retirement.

Colin will be replaced by Paul Wallwork ACA (43). After graduation, Paul trained
with Arthur Young. Most recently, he was Managing Director, Inchcape Automotive
Limited, having previously been Finance Director of Inchcape (UK) and Financial
Controller of Inchcape plc. He will join the Group on 3rd January 2006 and will
be appointed to the Board immediately following Colin's retirement. There are no
disclosures required under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules with regard to
this appointment.
