MJ Gleeson Group plc ('the Company')

Notification of Directors' interests

The  Company was advised today that on 5 February  2001  the
Directors listed below acquired shares in the Company  at  a
purchase  price  of £8.85 per share through a profit-sharing
Employee Share Ownership Scheme, which has been approved  by
the  Inland  Revenue.  The Directors' previous  and  current
share holdings, including those held by Related Persons, are
as follows:
