            PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT DATE - TUESDAY 14 OCTOBER 2003

Gleeson, the construction services, homes and property group which celebrates
its centenary this year, proposes to announce its results for the year ended 30
June 2003 on Tuesday 14 October 2003.

On that date, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., an analyst and investor presentation
