National Express Group PLC has today been notified of the following Director's
dealings in the Company's shares:

Philip White, Chief Executive, was notified on 29 May 2001 by the Remuneration
Committee of the acceptance of his request to transfer to him 18,251 shares
for nil consideration under the terms of the Long Term Share Incentive Scheme.

Mr White also exercised his option on 29 May 2001 over 35,353 shares granted
at a price of 495p.

He has sold these shares, totalling 53,604 shares, on 29 May 2001 at a price
of 920p.

Mr White's current shareholding in the Company is 115,408 and he has options
over a further 230,634 shares.
