                                  Board Change



National Express Group announces that William Rollason, Finance Director, will
be leaving the Group at the end of this year. William, aged 42, joined the Group
Board in December 1999.  A successor is currently being recruited.



Commenting on today's announcement Phil White, Chief Executive, said:



'On behalf of the Board I would like to thank William for his contribution to
the Group over the past three years.   He has played a major role in the Group's
development since he joined us. However, following discussions with William, he
has agreed to step down. We wish him well for the future.'
