As stated in the Group's Report and Accounts 2002 posted to shareholders this
week, National Express Group PLC announces that Michael Davies, Chairman of the
Company, will be retiring from the Board at the Annual General Meeting in 2004.
The recruitment of a successor will commence shortly.
