National Express Group PLC announces the resignation of Tim Stevenson on 21
September 2005 as a Director of the Company and from his post as Senior
Independent Director.  Barry Gibson, who has served as a Non Executive on the
Board since 1999, is appointed as the new Senior Independent Director with
effect from 21 September 2005.
