                                  Board Change

National Express Group PLC ('the Company') announces that Sue Lyons will be
retiring from the Board as a Non Executive Director with effect from 19th
December 2007.

Commenting on today's announcement David Ross, Chairman, said:

'Sue is leaving the Board after six years' service and following a further
strengthening of the Board back in October when Roger Devlin joined us as a Non
Executive Director. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Sue for her
invaluable contribution to the Board and the Company particularly in her role as
Chairman of the Safety Committee.'
