National Express Group PLC received notification on 17 May 2001 from WMT
Employees Shareholding Trustees Limited that, following the release of
maturing shares and the appropriation of shares to the Trust under the WMT
Approved Profit Sharing Scheme, their interest in the Company's share capital
has fallen to 5,610,664 ordinary shares, which represents 4.26% of the issued
share capital.
