Ray O'Toole to Start as Chief Operating Officer

NATIONAL EXPRESS GROUP PLC 28 October 1999 NATIONAL EXPRESS GROUP PLC Board Announcement Ray O'Toole to start as Chief Operating Officer National Express Group PLC ('the Group'), the leading mass passenger transport services company, announces that Ray O'Toole is to start on 1 November 1999 as Chief Operating Officer. He will be responsible for the Group's UK operational performance and will report to Phil White, Group Chief Executive. Ray, aged 44, joins from First Group plc where he was responsible for their operations in Yorkshire and the North-West and group engineering. He has over 20 years experience in transport management and has an excellent track record in improving the operational and financial performances of the businesses in which he has been involved.
