Mobile Streams plc 31 May 2006 31st May 2006 Sony Pictures Entertainment selects Mobile Streams' Vuesia platform to mobilise The Da Vinci Code Mobile Streams, the global mobile media specialist, has signed a deal with Los Angeles based Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) to mobilize The Da Vinci Code in regions including Europe. The deal is Mobile Streams' first major customer win for its Vuesia platform and return on investment from developing the Vuesia platform. Under the terms of the agreement, Mobile Streams used its proprietary technology platform 'Vuesia' to format 'The Da Vinci Code' into mobile-ready video, audio and graphic formats. For example, the video clips are approximately two minutes long and offer mobile users glimpses into different scenes of the famous 'Da Vinci Code' story. Vuesia was created from scratch within Mobile Streams to handle complex 3G content. It provides a solution to the technical challenge posed by multiple networks, handsets and operating standards by offering a full service mobile media management solution - from content ingestion, management and delivery to billing and reporting. Vuesia was able to 'mobilise' short clips from 'The Da Vinci Code' to meet the specifications of 13 different European mobile content carriers including Vodafone Global, 3 UK and 3 Italy. Vuesia automatically delivered the content to each carrier in their preferred delivery specification, enabling more rapid subscriber access.
