           APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mentmore  Abbey plc, the largest space management group  in
the  UK,  is pleased to announce the appointment  of  Leigh
Collins as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Leigh  Collins,  52,  was a founding  director  of  Collins
Stewart  Ltd., the stockbroking firm, where he was head  of
Corporate   Finance.   He  is  currently  a   non-executive
director  of  both  European Telecom plc and  Quarto  Group
Inc.,  and  a  member of the worldwide  advisory  board  of
Ci4net.com.   He  will  be  a  member  of  the  audit   and
remuneration committees of the Board.

In  addition, Richard Makowski, Managing Director  of  Iron
Mountain  Europe, has resigned from the Board as of  today.
He will continue his employment with Iron Mountain Europe.

Mentmore Abbey will be announcing their Preliminary Results
on Tuesday 4 July 2000.
