          PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF SERVICE BUSINESS SPACE ('SBS') DIVISION


                    RESULT OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING



The Board of Mentmore is pleased to announce that the proposed disposal of its
SBS division announced on 9 July 2003 (the 'Disposal') was approved by Mentmore
shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier today.


Completion of the Disposal is expected to occur later today.
