Elderstreet VCT plc announces that on 29 December 2005 the Company purchased a
total of 10,000 ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation  representing 0.07%
of the issued share capital at a price of 55p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 14,103,955 ordinary shares in
issue.
