Elderstreet VCT plc announces that on 28 September 2005 the Company purchased a
total of 72,000 ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation  representing 0.50%
of the issued share capital at a price of 50p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 14,233,855 ordinary shares in
issue.
