Elderstreet VCT plc announces that between 11 May 2006 and 12 May 2006 the
Company purchased a total of 100,000 ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation
representing 0.71% of the issued share capital at a price of 55p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 14,003,955 ordinary shares in
issue.
