Elderstreet VCT plc announces that on 30 June 2006 the Company purchased a total
of 23,607 ordinary shares of 5p each for cancellation representing 0.15% of the
issued share capital at a price of 55p per share.

Following these transactions the Company now has 15,221,819 ordinary shares in
issue.
