                 THE MONKS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the 'Company')

         Annual General Meeting - Amendment to Articles of Association

The Company has, in accordance with DTR 6.1.2, submitted a copy of the proposed
changes to the Company's Articles of Association to the UK Listing Authority.
The amendments, which will be considered at the AGM on 1 August 2007, reflect
changes to the ability of the Company to indemnify its Directors and other
officers (excluding auditors) brought about by the Companies (Audit,
Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004.  The proposed changes to the
Articles of Association can be found in the Notice of Annual General Meeting
contained in the Annual Report and Accounts, copies of which are available for
inspection at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which is
