ON 3 MAY 2000, THE COMPANY PURCHASED FOR CANCELLATION 90,000 ORDINARY SHARES
AT A PRICE OF £10.23, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SHARES BOUGHT BACK TO
9,863,130. THERE REMAINS 67,728,870 SHARES IN ISSUE.
