                    Board Appointment

Mission  Testing  plc, the provider of  software  testing
solutions  and  services,  is  pleased  to  announce  the
appointment   of  Graham  Neil  Pooley  as  non-executive
Chairman with immediate effect.

Graham  Pooley,  51, has many years of board  experience,
both  for  public and private companies.   Most  recently
this  was as Finance Director of the TransEDA Group where
he  led  the group to a successful flotation  on  AIM  in
September  2000.  Previously he was Managing Director  of
Cardcast plc where, having successfully floated the group
in  1996, he subsequently negotiated its merger with  AIM
listed  Card Clear plc.  Educated in New Zealand,  Graham
is  a New Zealand Chartered Accountant and a UK Certified
Accountant.

Mr Pooley replaces Mike McLaren, who, as indicated at the
time  of  the  Group's  flotation in  December  2000,  is
stepping  down  as Chairman as his commitments  as  Group
Managing  Director of Alphameric plc would not allow  him
sufficient  time to continue to Chair Mission Testing  as
it  develops.   Mr  McLaren will remain  on  the  Mission
Testing board as a non-executive director.

of  public company experience and his extensive knowledge
of  both  managing  fast growing companies  and  the  AIM
environment  will be of great benefit to Mission  Testing
as it expands.'

Mike  for  his  valuable contribution to the  success  of
Mission  Testing  in  its  early  years  and  during  the
flotation  process.  We are pleased to be  retaining  his
knowledge and advice on the board and look forward to his
continuing contribution.'

Mission  Testing  will be announcing its interim  results
for the six months to 31 December 2000 on Monday 12 March
2001.

The  following  additional information  relating  to  the
appointment  of  Mr Pooley is provided  pursuant  to  the
requirements of Paragraph 15 of the AIM rules.

(i)  This  company was placed into Compulsory Liquidation
on  1  April  1998,  at which time such directorship  was
held.  Mr Pooley was appointed a director and Chairman of
XL  Communications  Group PLC  10  weeks  earlier  on  16
January  1998 at a time when the company was  already  in
financial difficulties.  He was appointed with a brief to
consider those difficulties and take appropriate  action.
Shortly after his appointment Mr Pooley realised that the
difficulties were severe, that the company could  not  be
turned around and instigated liquidation proceedings.

(ii)  These  companies   (which formed  part  of  the  XL
Communications  group)  were placed  into  Administrative
Receivership  on  30  January 1998, at  which  time  such
directorships  were  held.  Mr  Pooley  was  appointed  a
director  of these two companies on 16 January  1998  and
ceased  to  be a director of these companies on  10  June
1998.

Other than as set out above, there are no further details
that  are  required to be disclosed, in  accordance  with
paragraph  15  of  the AIM Rules, in connection  with  Mr
Pooley's appointment.
