Appoints new Finance Director
Mission Testing, the AIM-listed software testing consultancy and services
provider, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Carl Anthony Thompson
ACA, as Finance Director with immediate effect. This follows the statement
made on 7 November 2001 whereby it was announced that David Abery, who joined
the Board to implement the flotation of the Company, intended to resign as
Finance Director.
The Board wishes to record its thanks to David Abery for his significant
contribution to the progress of the Company this year. David Abery will remain
with the Company until mid-January 2002 to ensure an orderly hand-over of
responsibilities.
Carl Thompson (aged 38), who qualified with Ernst & Young in 1986, was
recently Finance Director of Densitron Technologies plc. He has gained
extensive experience in the IT industry having been a finance director within
ICL Plc (part of the Fujitsu group) for 9 years. He has solid acquisitions
experience, which the Company believes will be of use at Mission Testing.
Commenting on his appointment, Tony Wells, CEO of Mission Testing said: 'The
Board welcomes Carl as Finance Director. We have had a tremendous first year
on AIM during which the business has performed very well in an increasingly
difficult climate. We look forward to working with Carl as we continue to
focus on the successful growth of the Company.'
