TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In accordance with the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6, Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust plc ("the Company") advises that as at 28 February 2015 the Company's issued share capital consists of 17,448,260 Ordinary Shares, of which 715,000 shares are held in treasury. 

Therefore the total number of shares with voting rights in the Company is 16,733,260 Ordinary Shares.

The above figure (16,733,260 Ordinary Shares) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust plc under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
