Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc ("the Company")

Change of Chairman

The Company announces that, following the conclusion of the 2016 Annual General Meeting, Roger Cuming will replace Kathryn Matthews as Chairman. Mr Cuming is the Company's longest standing Non-Executive Director and has been on the Board since 5 June 2009.

Ms Matthews will remain as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Following Mr Cuming's appointment as Chairman, Kate Bolsover, a Non-Executive Director of the Company since 17 October 2014, will replace Mr Cuming as Senior Independent Director.
