Morgan Group appoints new Head of Technology
Morgan Crucible announces that it has further strengthened its technical
capability with the appointment of leading material scientist Dr. Alan Begg as
Director of Technology. He takes up his post on 5th February 2001.
Dr Begg joins Morgan from Federal-Mogul, one of the world's leading automotive
engineering companies, where he was responsible for technology strategy and
implementation.
Prior to joining Federal-Mogul in 1998, he was Managing Director of T&N
Technology, the Research and Engineering centre for the T&N Group from 1993
onwards. Between 1981 and 1993 he was at British Petroleum leaving as the
Chief Executive of BP Metal Composites.
Ian Norris, Chief Executive Officer of Morgan said:

investment in new technologies and to help ensure that the growth potential
