Morgan Sindall Group secures £130 million Warrington development
Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that its regeneration division, Muse Developments, has been selected by Warrington Borough Council as its development partner to deliver the Council's £130 million Bridge Street regeneration plan.
The scheme is the first phase of the Council's 25-year masterplan for the regeneration of the town centre and waterfront area. Development plans for the six-hectare Bridge Street site encompass the construction of shops, restaurants, a gym, a cinema, a food-store, an indoor market, a cultural centre, a hotel and new Council offices. Work, which is subject to planning permission, is expected to begin in 2013.
Paul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall Group plc, said:
"Muse's appointment as Warrington Borough Council's development partner demonstrates its ability to continue to win and deliver complex, long-term regeneration partnership projects despite a challenging environment for urban regeneration.
"This is one of the largest planned regeneration schemes in the North West. We look forward to working alongside the Council in delivering this exciting project that is set to transform Warrington's town centre."
