Morgan Sindall Group selected as preferred development partner for £145 million Stockport regeneration scheme

Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that its Urban Regeneration division, Muse Developments, has been selected as preferred development partner for the £145 million regeneration of Stockport Grand Central Station.

Since purchasing the site in January, Stockport Council has been procuring a development partner to deliver the ambitious redevelopment for the site. The development will include a high quality office quarter, attractive public space outside the railway station with easy access to the town centre, a hotel and improved car parking.

Muse will now be recommended to Stockport Council's Executive in a report to be presented on 16 December 2011.

Morgan Sindall has these capabilities and we see this part of the business as a key growth area in our medium term strategy."
