Morgan Sindall appointed to £500 million construction framework
 in the East of England

Morgan Sindall Group plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that Morgan Sindall, its construction and infrastructure division, has been appointed by the Smarte East Alliance to its framework contract for major building construction works.

The four-year framework has a total anticipated spend of up to £500 million across three Lots. Morgan Sindall has been appointed on Lot 2 (projects ranging in value from £550,000 to under £2.5 million) and Lot 3 (projects valued at £2.5 million and over) of the framework. Six contractors will compete for the projects in Lot 2 and four in Lot 3.

The Smarte East Alliance is an alliance between three East of England local authorities, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk County Councils, which was formed with the aim of achieving efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement in the procurement and delivery of public sector capital works projects.
