Application has today been made for 384,295 new Ordinary Shares to be admitted
to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London
Stock Exchange following conversion of 960,742 5.625% Convertible Preference
Shares of £1 each. Dealings are expected to commence in the new Ordinary Shares,
which will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing Ordinary Shares, on
13 August 2003.
