Morgan Sindall Group plc: Appointment of Steve Crummett as Finance Director

The Board of Morgan Sindall Group plc ('Morgan Sindall' or the 'Group') today announces the appointment of Steve Crummett as Finance Director with effect from 25 February 2013.  Current Finance Director, David Mulligan, has indicated that, after fifteen years with the Group, he would like to step down from his current role to pursue new challenges and, with the appointment of Steve Crummett, he will be leaving the Group on 10 April 2013 following a handover period.

Steve Crummett was most recently the Group Finance Director at Filtrona plc, a position he held from 2008. Prior to Filtrona, Steve held senior positions in a number of listed companies including Exel plc, Mckechnie plc and Logica plc. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen. Steve is also a Non-Executive Director of Consort Medical plc.

Biography of Steve Crummett

From March 2008 to September 2012, Steve was the Group Finance Director of Filtrona plc, the FTSE 250 leading supplier of specialty plastic, fibre and foam products and was responsible for Finance, Tax, Treasury, IT, Internal Audit and Risk. From May 2007 to March 2008 he was Director of Corporate Development at Filtrona. Prior to Filtrona, Steve was at Exel plc from 2003 to 2006, through its acquisition by Deutsche Post. From 1997 to 2002, Steve was Head of Corporate Development at McKechnie plc, and Corporate Finance Manager at Logica plc from 1995 to 1997. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen.
