Bluestone framework agreement agreed with Driving Standards Agency
Bluestone, the construction subsidiary of Morgan Sindall plc, has been awarded a
framework agreement with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) to build regional
test centres across England and Wales. The award is expected to yield up to £40
million of revenue over the next three years.
It is anticipated that a typical project will be in the region of £850,000. The
requirement for the new centres has been driven by EU legislation requiring
motorcycle test candidates to carry out braking and avoidance manoeuvres at a
speed that would be unsuitable on the public highway.
Bluestone has been selected for all four regions in England and Wales: London
and South, Midlands and Eastern, Wales and West and North.
Paul Smith, Chief Executive of Morgan Sindall plc said:
'This is an excellent example of Bluestone's ability to secure framework
agreements operating on a national basis.'
