Morgan Sindall TO DELIVER £24 million HOUSING REFURBISHMENT SCHEME 

Morgan Sindall plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces that its Affordable Housing division, Lovell, has been awarded a £24 million contract by Three Oaks Homes, which is a member of the East Midlands Housing Group, for the refurbishment of over 2,200 homes in the Blaby district of south-west Leicestershire. The four year scheme will bring the housing up to a level that exceeds the Government's Decent Homes Standard.

Work will include the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems, electrical upgrading and external environmental and security work.

Lovell has continued to secure new-build and housing improvements contracts throughout 2009 with recent examples including a large-scale housing improvement programme for Northamptonshire-based Wellingborough Homes and a scheme to build 61 affordable homes in Leeds for housing association Accent Foundation.
