     Morgan Sindall appoints Geraldine Gallacher as Non-Executive Director


Morgan Sindall plc, the construction and regeneration group, today announces the
appointment of Geraldine Gallacher as Non-Executive Director, effective from 16
August 2007.


Geraldine previously served as a Non-Executive Director of Morgan Sindall plc
from May 1995 to September 2004. She left the Board in accordance with Corporate
Governance rules regarding the length individuals can serve as Independent
Non-Executive Directors. Morgan Sindall is delighted to welcome her back to the
Board as Geraldine brings tremendous strength in people skills to the newly
enlarged group.


Geraldine is the Managing Director of The Executive Coaching Consultancy. She
founded the company, which specialises in one-to-one executive coaching for
senior management executives, in 1994. Prior to this, Geraldine was Head of
Group Management Development for The Burton Group plc (now Arcadia plc), where
she was responsible for the development of the top 300 senior executives within
the company, and began her career within Marketing at Ford Motor Company.
