Affordable Housing Division named a preferred contractor for
£1 billion Sheffield homes upgrade
Lovell, the affordable housing division of construction brands group Morgan
Sindall plc, has been named by Sheffield City Council as one of five preferred
partnering contractors for the seven-year £1 billion contract to bring the
council's housing stock up to the government's Decent Homes Standard.
The large-scale housing modernisation programme is potentially worth up to £200
million for Lovell.
The formal appointment of the contractors is set to be announced in October 2004
with work due to start in November 2004.
