 Morgan Sindall signs UK Government Self Remediation Contract

No change to expected costs of remediation

Morgan Sindall announces that it has signed the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities ('DLUHC') Developer Remediation Contract ('the Contract') on behalf of the Group and all of its subsidiary companies. The Contract details the commitment given by our wholly-owned subsidiary Lovell Partnerships Limited in the Building Safety Pledge in April 2022 to address life‐critical fire safety issues on all buildings of 11 metres and above in England developed by the Group in the 30 years prior to 5 April 2022, and to reimburse any funds disbursed by the Government's Building Safety Fund for buildings we have developed. As explained in our announcement on 4 August 2022, the Contract most directly impacts Lovell and Muse Places Limited.

The Group has already been progressing and managing remediation works with the management companies for the affected buildings and will continue to do so. Signing the Contract does not affect the provision already made as detailed in our full year results announcement on 23 February 2023.
