Mothercare plc announces that Neil S. Harrington, Group Finance Director, on
Tuesday 27(th) July 2010 purchased 1000 Mothercare ordinary shares at a price of
521p per share.

Following this announcement Neil Harrington holds a total of 60,642 ordinary
shares equivalent to  0.07% of the total voting rights of the company.
