Mothercare plc announces that Karren Brady, a non-executive director
of the Company, purchased 2,688 Mothercare plc ordinary 50p shares at
a price of £3.70p per share on 26th September 2007.

Karren Brady's total interest in the share capital of the Company
following the above acquisition now comprises 14,063 ordinary shares
being 0.016% of the issued share capital.
