Transparency Rules, it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management
PLC's Fund Management Operating Subsidiaries that its holding in the
company has increased and crossed through the 11% threshold.

The number of shares held by Aberdeen Asset Management plc now
comprises 9,639,605 ordinary Mothercare plc 50p shares.


Mothercare plc's total voting rights are 87,264,249.
