Mothercare plc announces that, in accordance with the Disclosure and
Transparency Rules, it has been advised by Aberdeen Asset Management
PLC's Fund Management Operating Subsidiaries that its holding in the
company has increased and crossed through the 12% threshold.
The number of shares held by Aberdeen Asset Management plc now
comprises 10,729,001 ordinary Mothercare plc 50p shares.
Mothercare plc's total voting rights as at end of trade on 30 May
2008 were 87,272,573.
