Mothercare plc announces that FIL Limited (the parent holding company for
various direct and indirect subsidiaries) has decreased its shareholding in
Mothercare plc.

FIL Limited now hold 4,372,456 Mothercare ordinary shares, equivalent to 4.96%
of Mothercare's total voting rights, previously 4,418,756 ordinary shares or
5.01%.
