Mothercare plc announces that Blackrock Inc. (the parent holding company for
Blackrock Investment Management (UK) Limited) has decreased its shareholding in
Mothercare plc.

FMR LLC now hold 4,377,045 Mothercare ordinary shares, equivalent to 4.96% of
Mothercare's total voting rights, previously 4,552,130 ordinary shares or 5.16%.
