Appointment of Non-executive Director

 

 

Mothercare plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Imelda Walsh as a non-executive director and new Chair of the Remuneration Committee.  Imelda joins the Board with effect from 1 June 2013, and will become Chair of the Remuneration Committee on 18 July 2013 following the company's annual general meeting.

 

Imelda Walsh is a non-executive director of William Hill PLC, where she is chair of the remuneration committee, and Mitchells and Butlers plc.  Formerly, Imelda was Group HR Director of J Sainsbury plc, and a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee at Sainsbury's Bank plc.  Prior to that she worked at Barclays plc, Coca Cola & Schweppes Beverages Ltd and Diageo plc.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Alan Parker CBE, Chairman, said:

"I am very pleased that Imelda is joining the Mothercare Board as a non-executive director and as the new Chair of the Remuneration Committee.  Imelda will bring valuable experience to Mothercare."

 

Imelda Walsh said:
