Betinternet.com Plc statement re: Dropping of duty on betting in favour of a
profits tax
Commenting on the changes in betting tax announced in today's budget, Vincent
Caldwell, Chairman of betinternet.com Plc said:
'As expected the Chancellor announced he will reform betting duty as from
January 2002.'
'betinternet.com Plc will continue to focus on the global market where it is
establishing a strong brand name. Should the Isle of Man Government decide to
allow duty free bets from the UK then this will further enlarge the target
audience of betinternet.com'
