Mountview have today been notified that Viewthorpe Ltd., of which Mr. D.M.
Sinclair (Chairman of Mountview) is a director, bought 1,000 ordinary shares of
5p each in the Company at a price of £31.00 per share on 5 July 2002. Mr.
Sinclair's non-beneficial holding in the ordinary share capital of the Company
is now as follows:

Mr Sinclair's beneficial holding in the Company remains unchanged.
