DISCLOSURE OF INTERESTS IN SHARES


Mountview Estates P.L.C. has today been notified that following the purchase of
11,275 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company on 19 June 2002, Viewthorpe
Ltd. (of which Mr. D. Sinclair, Chairman of Mountview is a Director) now owns an
interest in 120,275 shares, representing 3.08% of the issued ordinary share
capital.
