Mountview have today been notified that Viewthorpe Ltd., of which Mr. D.M.
Sinclair (Chairman of Mountview) is a director, bought 1,500 ordinary shares of
5p each in the Company at a price of £31.00 per share on 2 July 2002. Mr.
Sinclair's non-beneficial holding in the ordinary share capital of the Company
is now as follows:


Duncan M. Sinclair (including those of his wife and family)


Non-beneficial

Previous               120,275     (2.79%)

Acquired:                1,500

New:                   121,775     (3.12%)


Mr Sinclair's beneficial holding in the Company remains unchanged.
