Director's and Substantial Shareholdings


Mountview has been notified that Mr. D.M. Sinclair (Chairman) sold 5,750
ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company at a price of £27.25 per share on 8th
July 2003 and that on the same day, and at the same price, 5,750 shares have
been bought by The Frank & Daphne Sinclair Grandchildren Settlement. Mr D.M.
Sinclair's resulting revised holdings of Mountview ordinary shares are set out
below:

Sold:                             5,750
New:                            263,426           (6.76%)

Mr Sinclair's non-beneficial holding in the Company remains unchanged.
