Director's and Substantial Shareholdings
Mountview has today been notified that Mr. D.M. Sinclair (Chairman) sold 7,090
ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company at a price of £28.00 per share on 19
August 2003 and that on the same day, and at the same price, 7,090 shares have
been bought by The Frank and Daphne Sinclair Grandchildren Settlement. Mr. D.M.
Sinclair's beneficial holding in the ordinary share capital of Mountview is now
as follows:

Viewthorpe Ltd., of which Mr. D.M. Sinclair (Chairman of Mountview) is a
director, bought 6,200 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company at a price of
£28.00 per share on 19 August 2003. Mr. Sinclair's non-beneficial holding in the
Company is now as follows:
